NCAE Cyber Games is a national collegiate cybersecurity competition combining Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges with a red versus blue infrastructure defense game. As a competitor, you'll work alongside your teammates to defend your systems against the NCAE red team while competing for the highest score against other schools. Success requires acting as a unified force, keeping attackers out of your systems while racking up points in the CTF. It's the perfect first competition for anyone looking to break into the world of cybersecurity.
New Jersey participants compete as part of the Northeast Region of the competition, where the top teams are selected based on demonstrated skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship. These teams are then invited to advance to the National competition.

Back in 2025, an NJIT team advanced to Nationals and earned an impressive third place finish, going head-to-head with some of the strongest teams in the country. The competition brought together top qualifiers from every region across the United States, making it a highly competitive field where only the best teams stood out.
We begin scouting competitors in the fall semester. If you're interested in joining the team, come show your interest at one of our general body meetings or reach out to us on our Discord server.
